Young Democrats of Illinois Releases its First Round of Certified Countywide Candidates

The Young Democrats of Illinois is proud to announce its first round of countywide certified candidates. These candidates running for office in Washington or Springfield have committed themselves to fighting for and upholding the ideals of the Young Democrats of Illinois in office, such as personal freedom, equality, and justice for all.

The first round of certified candidates are:

Please note, that this is NOT an endorsement and we ask that campaigns refrain from using that language on social media or campaign literature.

The absence of any candidate from this list does not mean that we decided not to certify them and only considered candidates who completed our questionnaire. Additionally, we will continue to review new responses on a rolling basis. In some races, we have decided to certify more than one candidate.

Wherever we conducted outreach to candidates to disperse our questionnaire, we made sure to attempt to contact each candidate in the same race.
